“Crowd Strike” – Computer Says No!

Computer Systems Cyber Company “Crowd Strike” Disables Its Own Infrastructure

Today the 19th July 2024, will undoubtably be reckoned one of the worst computer scenarios that can effect the western world and its reliance on computer and digital programs and systems.

Earlier Crowd Strike who run an online cyber security company to ‘protect’ computer systems for many of the worlds largets companies, infiltrated their own system with a badly executed line of code, which in turn has gave many of the companies computers they protect the dreaded “Blue Screen of Death”. Crwod Strike are solely responsible for some 24,000 businesses. This may not seem a lot but when some of these companies have 3 to 400 computers, perhaps even more, then this becomes catastrophic. Some of the major companies affected are ‘American Airlines’ – ‘British Airways’ and ‘Sky TV’. So far none of the banks or online payment processors have stepped forward with any issues. Quite a few large retail firms who also rely on ‘Windows’ computer systems have seen their checkout tills corrupted and had to close along with departments within the ‘NHS’, including pharmicies and doctors surgeries.

In a sperate incident ‘Microsoft’ themselves also failed to isolate a damaged code which along with Crowd Strikes damage will cost the computer industry billions to put right. Just because the damaging codes have been found and isolated does not mean the end of the problem. Each computer has to be rebooted ‘Manually’. So if you’re a computer tech whizz then you can clap for joy, there’s now plenty of work available. On the other side of the ‘coin’, literally, Crowd Strike have had an estimated 16 Billion Dollars wiped from their shares, a 20 per cent drop in consumer confidence. I’d hate to be the employer who ‘Pressed’ that particular button, fish finger sandwiches for the rest of his life.

Whilst ‘Home’ computers should not be effected, it will depend on what kind of security you use, that also may use or share Crowd Strike as their security. None of the other computer systems have been effected, Linux or Apple Mac users, this also does not impact on Android systems such as your mobile phones.
